Unattended Truck Scale Application
Customer Requirements:
Customer needed a means to document the amount of soil being moved from one location to another.
This customer did not want the cost of hiring an attendant for this operation.
The customer also did not want to slow the operation down by having drivers get out and print tickets each time they crossed the scales.
Solution:
Provided an Unattended Truck Scale System by installing RFID tags on the trucks, an RFID Tag reader at the scale, along with a JagExtreme Indicator programmed to allow trucks to be automatically weighed. Truck ID, Weight, along with date and time is captured and stored in a report file which can periodically be printed out or downloaded into a laptop computer.
ROI : The Unattended Portion of the project cost less than hiring an attendant for six (6) months.

- Traffic Signal turns green to indicate it is ok to proceed off scale.
- In the event the JagExtreme is unable to successfully read a Truck ID Tag and record data for any reason, the traffic signal will flash red.
- Flashing Red Traffic signal will require driver to exit scale and try again, or exit truck and follow prompts on the JagExtreme in order to assure data is properly captured.
- All unsuccessful entries are recorded in a data table with Date and Time.
- All successful entries are recorded in a data table with Truck ID, Date and Time, Gross, Net, and Tare Weights.
