Problem:
Customer
called Scale Source, with communication problems
on their cattle scale.
After
troubleshooting their existing Flex-weigh
DWM-IV instrument, Scale Source saw that the
problems with their scale were:
1.
Original equipment data communication has
intermittent errors and failures.
2. Original equipment not updated for current
applications.
3. Original equipment does not have the necessary
communication capability for multiple or current
applications.
Solution:
With
the new Mettler / Toledo IND780, we are able
to dedicate individual ports to multiple devices
and send different data strings to each device
simultaneously.
Also
the IND 780 has enhanced filtering, giving
more stable weighing of animals.
With
the new IND 780 we can keep the customer’s
operation running even if their PC fails.
We also have the ability to backup all data
and re-flash into another IND 780 PCB instantly
if the need should arise.
We
have provided the customer with the latest
hardware to ensure years of product support
and provide them with a piece of equipment
that will be expandable to accommodate any
of the customer’s foreseeable future
needs.
